These all Natural EM Tick collars are a great preventative for your pet to deter Ticks and Fleas! There is no chemicals and the beads are fresh from Europe! The EM beads have been used in Europe to prevent Ticks and Fleas for the last 2 decades and are now starting to become more popular here.
What are EM’s?
EM’s (Effective Microorganisms) is the official brand name referring to a family of microbial-based products. The technology was developed by Dr. Teruo Higa. The main product, EM·1®, is a liquid product comprising three groups of microbes: Yeast, Photosynthetic Bacteria, and Lactic Acid Bacteria. EM·1® works by creating a synergy among microorganisms and larger forms of life including insects and worms, pets and livestock, and people. All products using EM Technology contain EM·1® in some part of their forming process.
How Do They Work?
EM® (Effective Microorganism) ceramics emit far infrared waves, the longest rays in the light spectrum. This wavelength is highly compatible with animal and human tissue. Once activated (this occurs with constant skin/fur contact) the Far Infrared waves remove blood cell clusters which improves blood circulation, remove toxins, lowers blood pressure, and improves overall body function. All of the benefits the waves create lead to warming of the body which creates an environment that Fleas and Ticks cannot thrive and try to avoid! As the infrared rays penetrate the tissue (up to 3”) deep they provide added benefit than anything that just interacts with the surface of the skin. This improved and balanced environment in dogs and humans(created by EM) is what can help keep ticks from attaching to you and your furry friend.
Fun Fact! Nasa also uses these now in their space suits to help balance the astronauts cells!
How Effective Is It?
An EM™ Tick Collar can be as effective as any tick repellent found on the market (if used properly), but without side effects. However, there is no 100% guarantee other tick products (vet medicines, sprays, pills, etc) or any other tick product will keep ticks off of our furiends!
How Do I use it?
EM’s can take up to 4 weeks to start creating the balance in the body that is needed to help protect yourself and your furriend. We recommend ordering your Em Tick Collar so that it will arrive at least a month before your Tick season begins.
You will get the best results when you and your furriend wear the Collar/Bracelet 24/7. It is recommended to keep them on all the time during tick season other then while cleaning or drying (After a Swim)
PLEASE NOTE:
- If you are using essential oil sprays as well as the EM Tick Collar please ensure the collar DOES NOT get sprayed with the spray as it can clog up the pores of the beads which is what helps to deter ticks.
Pearl Vs Classic Collar
A Pearl Collar will have pearl beads in between each Em bead the color of pearl bead will coordinate with the string colors chosen by you!. A Classic Collar will only have EM beads on the collar.
Slider Knot VS Cord Lock Stopper
Slider Knot: Great for a growing puppy and will allow for up to 4" of adjustment. Ends are required to be fed through the necklace each time the size is set.
PLEASE NOTE: Even though all of our EM Collars are safe and well tested we understand some pet parents would like a breakaway option. Our Slider Knot Version is able to be made as a breakaway. If interested Please Check Off the Box that you would like the Breakaway Version.
Cord Lock Stopper: Allows for up to only 1" of adjustment but doesnt have ends that require tucking in.
How Do I Get The Right Size?
To get the correct size you will need to measure your dogs neck. Follow the steps below:
1.Make sure your dog is standing
2.Measure the widest part of your dogs neck (fig.A) snuggly with a soft measuring tape OR use a string then compare it to a measuring tape
3.Measure the widest part of your dogs head (fig.B) and ensure the collar is adjustable up to this width so that it can slip over its head.

- If your dogs neck is in between sizes- Size UP!
- If your dog has a lot of Floof and gets shaved we suggest our slider knot option to allow for more adjustment as hair grows or is shaved.

How Do I Clean It?
Its Easy!
- Rinse the Collar under warm tap water (No Soap or Chemicals Required)
- You can use a nail brush if there’s a need
- Dry In The Sun
How Long Do They Last?
The EM™ last between 8-10 Months. Which means they will need to be replaced yearly.
Can I use Essential Oils With It?
- You can use essential oil sprays in addition to the collar; HOWEVER, make sure to not spray them on the collar itself.
Can I Attach My Dogs Leash To It?
- No. The Tick Collar is meant to be an addition to your regular collar.
Can my dog swim with it?
- Yes! Only in Fresh Water (No Cholorine or Salt).
